Our website is dedicated to a breed that is so special and dear to our hearts...the Toy Australian Shepherd. We enjoy a quality breeding program as our hobby, featuring Miniature and Toy size Australian Shepherds. The quality Toy Aussie and the Mini Aussie should carry all of the same attributes of the standard Aussie, just in a smaller package. It is our goal to work with some of the top breeders in the industry to help develop the breed to its correct stature. The Toy Aussie is still being developed to reach its perfect and correct look of the heavier bone and stocky appearance to match the Standard Size Aussie in overall appearance, but in a smaller package. They are athletic and agile dogs, not to mention affectionate, loyal and incredibly intelligent. We are and happy to be working with the breeders in the industry who are improving the Toy Breed to reach and maintain this correct standard. All of our Toy and Miniature Aussie's will be from either Champion or proven and approved stock.
GENERAL APPEARANCE OF THE TOY AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD
The first visual image should be that of an Australian Shepherd,
no other breed should come to mind.
The breed name "Toy Australian Shepherd" refers solely to the dogs diminutive (or smaller) size, and in no way implies "toyish" features. The Toy Australian Shepherd is a small to medium sturdy little herding dog that could do a days work and must not appear weak, spindly or coarse. Bone and muscle must be in proportion to, and an enhancement of, the dogs weight and structure.
The dog should be viewed as a whole. The first visual image portrays that of the Standard Australian Shepherd, thus defining TYPE. When the type is established the correct bone and structure and head become integral parts of the whole picture. No other breed should come mind when the whole picture is presented as stated in the Breed Standard.
