For The Love of Aussies
GENERAL APPEARANCE OF THE TOY AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD
The first visual image should be that of an Australian Shepherd, no other breed should come to mind.
The breed name "Toy Australian Shepherd" refers solely to the dogs diminutive (or smaller) size, between 10" to 14" in height, and in no way implies "toyish" features. The Toy Australian Shepherd is a small to medium sturdy little herding dog that could do a days work and must not appear weak, spindly or coarse. Bone and muscle must be in proportion to, and an enhancement of, the dogs weight and structure.
The dog should be viewed as a whole. The first visual image portrays that of the Standard Australian Shepherd, thus defining TYPE. When the type is established the correct bone and structure and head become integral parts of the whole picture. No other breed should come mind when the whole picture is presented as stated in the Breed Standard.

The Toy Aussie and the Mini Aussie should carry all of the same attributes of the standard Aussie, just in a smaller package. I am proud to be able to work with some of the top breeders in the industry to help develop the breed to its correct stature. The Toy Aussie is still being developed to have the look of the heavier bone and hearty Standard Size Aussie, but in a smaller package. In doing so we will have litters of mixed size ranging from the Toy (10"-14") to the Mini Aussie (14"-17"). This breed is athletic and agile dogs, not to mention affectionate, loyal and incredibly intelligent. All of my Toy and Miniature Aussie's will be from either Champion or proven and approved stock.
Hope you enjoy your visit.

Photography, Web Design, Graphic Art...
A little about me... I grew up riding and training horses and surrounded by animals of all kind. I was born and raised in California and currently have a Quarter Horse Breeding Farm in Kentucky also breeding and showing American Paint Horses. I grew up with my family around the love of music, animals and art, which has instilled in me forever, that passion. I have always loved art and the beauty of nature, animals and people..... I think that is what draws me to Photography and Graphic Art. I am an amateur photographer and purely do it for the personal fulfillment and advertising of our farm. I do hope to learn more about photography as the years go on. If you have any special request for Graphic Art or Web Design, please contact me for availability. I will sometimes do work for others when time allows. You can see some of my photos on this site as well as our new ranch in Campbellsburg Kentucky and you can also visit me on Face Book.

"AKC MINIATURE AMERICAN SHEPHERDS"
This website is dedicated to a breed that is so special and dear to my heart...the Toy Australian Shepherd. This dedicated, loyal and intelligent breed knows how to work their way into your heart forever. Once you own one, there is no going back! I have spent most of my life raising, training and breeding quality Quarter Horses. I enjoy the challenge and joy of watching a breeding program develop. The Aussies have fit right into my life around the ranch and it is absolutely exciting to be part of the future development of this breed.
